This place has been so good to me over the years. I recently came in because my car was making a loud humming noise, and wasn't as powerful when accelerating. The guys in the shop told me that my catalytic converter was locked... and that it would cost me around $1000 to repair... BUT the technician Joe told gave me a solution that only costed me aroundd $60, and my car is surprisingly good as new! These guys have always been so honest with me and I really appreciate that. So if you want a place that will keep it right to the point, this is the one for you :)

My 2008 Toyota RAV4 broke down and was beyond my knowledge for fixing it. I had it towed through CAA since this was a CAA approved shop. They were able to fix it by the next day as they had other vehicles ahead of me to work on. When I got my SUV back I drove it a bit shopping and it broke down again. The next day when the shop was open again I brought it in and got it fixed no charge as it was only a small issue. I found the receptionist kind and understanding and Yousef was great to show me how they fixed the issue. I still don’t understand what happened but my dad does (he’s in BC so can’t help too much other than give me advice how to proceed) and he approved their solution. I will definitely use their shop again if my Betsy needs repair.

I've been a customer at Reliance Auto Mechanic on Cannon St. In Hamilton for about 5 years. I drive a 2011 Honda Fit with lots of km. on it. I have had good experiences with every visit. Joe, who runs the garage and is the senior mechanic is, in my opinion, a totally excellent mechanic, totally honest, a really good communicator, a man of his word, and occasionally has gone out of his way to meet my time needs,. Etc. My 5 star rating of Reliance reflects my very excellent experiences there. I have no personal or business connection with Reliance other than getting my car serviced. I go there because it's near my home..

I had a dealership estimate of $2,000.00 for replacement of front and rear rotors and pads plus brake fluid exchange. Joe examined the brakes, and said I only needed rear pads and rotors with caliper service. This service was less than a quarter of what dealership was going to charge. Great service. Work done quickly while I waited.

I can not say enough good things about Reliance Auto. I recently moved to the area and had an emergency with my CR-V. I was able to get my car towed directly there and they were able to give me a diagnosis that day even though it was late in the afternoon and work was completed by early the following day. The price was beyond fair and I am forever grateful.

Excellent service, honest, fair prices and finished early. I had my vehicle towed here after my friend recommended them. I had my subframe break and I thought it would be a long wait because it's not a stocked part and hard to get. They found me a used one the same day and saved me money. They told me it would take 3 days to install. It was done in 3 days. I had a couple parts in my back seat and they install them free of charge since they were in the same area. They kept me in the loop every step of the way. That was a few weeks ago and it still drives great! Like a brand new vehicle! This will now be my regular shop!

Always good service. I've been coming here for about two years and I trust the sevice and pricing. I had my car fully serviced because I was going on a 16 hour drive. Joe made sure my car was safe for the trip. My plans were changed but I'm glad the car was fully serviced. Joe is always professional and he explains any concerns prior to doing the work. This is very important when you're on a budget. I will keep coming back.

We would give 6 stars if we could. We had our check engine light come on nearby on 403, they were able to see us right away, had the job done in half the time estimated at a reasonable rate and with $ off our CAA membership. Able to continue our road trip safely. Thanks again!

Fast, friendly, and affordable service. I took my car in for a brake replacement, and was pleasantly surprised with the price and the quick turn around time.
